Our Kitchen Design Process
The kitchen design and remodel process consists of several steps, all carefully CrafteD to ensure
you end up with a kitchen you’re passionate about.
1. Consultation
The whole process kicks off with an in-home consultation where we build our understanding of what you want from your new kitchen, what the scale of the project is, and how best we can work with you. This is also the point where we’ll discuss ideas for your new kitchen and offer feedback on how to best accomplish your goals.
2. Preliminary Design Phase
When you’ve signed a design agreement, we can start bringing your vision to life with initial concept development. We’ll also take measurements of your space and begin early construction drawings and other deliverables. Then we’ll have some fun together at CrafteD Kitchen Design Studio, where we’ll present floorplans, potential materials, and other design considerations like plumbing, lighting, and appliances. We show you layout options, design concepts, and physical material samples so you can visualize your new kitchen design. We’re confident our proposed design will combine your style and function preferences seamlessly, and we always work with your budget in mind.
3. Final Design Phase
Once all the preliminary selections and details surrounding your kitchen design have been discussed and approved, we can move forward towards finalizing plans. We’ll make the finishing touches, like bringing materials out to confirm they work in the space, making any relevant reselections, and compiling a kitchen design manual for your project to be built. We’ll have a final review meeting to ensure you’re satisfied with the design prior to construction. Then, you’re ready to remodel!
Throughout the whole process, we like to work closely with you to make sure all your questions are answered
and you’re happy at every stage of the journey.

FAQS
Most often, yes. It’s generally acknowledged that kitchens and bathrooms play a vital role in selling a home, and they can bump your house price as well as reduce the time your home is on the market. Provided the kitchen fits in with the rest of the house in terms of quality, it’ll add value!
We keep you involved in the design process as much as possible because we find it’s the best way to make sure you’re happy with the final product. Your preferences are the driving force behind our design, and we use our expertise to refine them and make sure everything works well together. If you don’t like shaker style cabinets, we’ll avoid them. In love with sage green? We’ll suggest a carefully crafted color palette that perfectly complements your favorite hue.
Theoretically, you could design your own kitchen without professional help, but it’s not easy, involves a lot of stress, and will take up your time. The guidance of experts pays off in most cases, making sure that the investment you’re about to make on a custom kitchen isn’t in vain and the space you end up with isn’t a compromise.
