Modern on the Mountain
Every inch of this custom home was carefully crafted to create a cohesive, contemporary design that captured the client’s desired aesthetic. Simple, modern with a hint of Scandinavian influence and geometric embellishments. Utilizing warm greys and modern bronze metal finishes in the kitchen contrasting with the black porcelain tile fireplace embodied the overall design intent. The floating steel staircase with glue-lam treads accentuates the modern architecture while visually connecting all three levels. The master “loft” is private but still open to the main living area. Fun splashes of color in the master bedroom and basement powder bath speak to the client’s personality and whimsey.

Testimonial
“Melissa helped design my custom built home. I wanted a fairly modern design and was worried that it would be tough to get here in Spokane. However, Melissa had great ideas and gave wonderful guidance to help me make decisions about materials and colors. She was super well organized. She designed our kitchen and laundry layout as well. The workflow in these spaces is awesome! We are very happy with her design! Melissa was also conscious of our budget and helped us find the look we wanted within the budget we had. All in all, it was a great experience and I would recommend her business to anyone needing help with a remodel or new construction.”
